Step 1:
The first thing you need to do is enabling the AirDrop feature on your iOS device. Make sure both the iPhones have the AirDrop feature enabled. To do so, follow these points:
On iPhone 8 or earlier, swipe down from the upper-right corner to open the Control Center. On iPhone X or later, swipe down from the upper-right corner to of the screen and then you can open the Control Center.
Step 2:
You would see Network settings square at the upper left corner, press and hold this option and you will see two more options from which one will be of AirDrop.

Press and hold on AirDrop option, you will be presented with three more options- Receiving Off, Contacts Only and Everyone.

Make sure that both the iPhones are connected to the Wi-Fi network and within the Bluetooth range. The AirDrop feature must be enabled on both the devices.

Now, to send photos between the iPhones, open the Photos app and select the photos which you want to send.

Step 1: Configure your iCloud Account
The first thing you need to see is the available storage space in your iCloud account. Make sure that the iPhone Photos library is turned on so that you can get all the photos stored and synced in your iCloud account.
Check your iPhone Storage by selecting the Settings option and then tap on to the name and then iCloud option. You will see the free space and used space in your iCloud.
On this page, you will see the storage space used by Photos, Mail and other apps. If you don’t want to let other apps use the iCloud storage, then you can disable them from the toggle button. Just tap on to the toggle button to turn off the apps from using the iCloud storage.
Step 2: Transfering Photos using iCloud
- Take the old iPhone and open Settings from the Apps menu.
- Select your Name from the top side and then iCloud option.
- Select Photos and then turn on the Toggle button of iCloud Photo Library. (If you haven’t used this feature before, wait for the system to complete the backup or sync process.)
- Wait for the iCloud Library Photos to be uploaded on the iCloud. The latest photos will also be uploaded to the library.
Step 3: Download Photos to a New iPhone
- On the new iPhone, go to the Apps menu and select the Settings option.
- Select your name and then iCloud option.
- Make sure to log in using the existing iCloud account or Apple ID and password.

Connect your old iPhone to the PC or Mac system using a compatible data cable. Make sure that you use the original data cable to avoid interruptions in between the process.

iTunes will recognize your iPhone and once it is done, you will see your iPhone’s name in the icon at the left corner. Click Summary from the left panel.

You would see This Computer option there, click it out and then select the Backups option from the right sidebar.
